Hello, I would like to ask if choking on water while taking the Liberelle contraceptive pill can affect its effectiveness? After taking the tablet, I swallowed the first 3-4 sips of water without any problems, only with the next one I choked and coughed a few times. Then I drank the rest of the water. I didn't feel the swallowed liquid back up into my throat, plus the cough wasn't strong and I covered my mouth with my hand

Because you swallowed the pill first and only then choked, the pill had already traveled so far in the digestive tract that it would not have been able to "pop" out of the mouth.
