Can withdrawal symptoms if I suddenly stopped taking gabapentin?

If your doctor tells you to stop gabapentin therapy, you should stop taking it gradually over a minimum of 1 week (regardless of the indication). Do not discontinue the drug on its own without consulting a doctor.

In the case of abrupt withdrawal, withdrawal symptoms may appear , among which the following may be distinguished: convulsions, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, nausea (nausea), pain, sweating, tremors, headache, depression, feeling abnormal, dizziness, and general malaise.

These symptoms usually occur within 48 hours after stopping gabapentin. If you experience them, contact your doctor. If you have taken this medicine irregularly, you are less likely to take them.
