Onirex is a hypnotic drug with a similar effect to benzodiazepines, used for a short period of time to treat insomnia. Possible side effects include, m.in, hallucinations, agitation, nightmares, and less commonly, delusional states and memory disorders.
Paranoid behavior may be related to the effects of the drug on the central nervous system, especially if the drug is used inconsistently or in sensitive individuals. Memory gaps (amnesia) are a known, though rare, side effect of zolpidem.
