Ursopol is a preparation used in the treatment of liver diseases. In such a situation, it is difficult to talk about the toxicity of this drug towards the organ in question.
'Indications for use
Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones with a diameter not exceeding 15 mm, permeable to X-rays, in patients in whom gallbladder function is maintained despite the presence of stones.
Symptomatic:
• Primary biliary cirrhosis (primary cholangitis), provided there is no decompensated cirrhosis.
• Other diseases of the liver and bile ducts of various etiology.
• Intrahepatic cholestasis of gestational patients in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
• Gastritis caused by bile regurgitation.
• Hepatobiliary dysfunction associated with cystic fibrosis in children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years."
The summary of product characteristics does not indicate a risk of exacerbation of overactive bladder symptoms during treatment with Ursopol.
