I have a question about Wegovy - I am supposed to take a dose of 1.0 and I have a pen of 0.5. Can I just do two injections at once?
I'm not asking about the manufacturer's official recommendations, or doctors who boost the business by saying that you can't give a different dose than the one indicated on the pen. I ask about the logic and practice of patients.
Thank you very much in advance.

It is technically possible to administer two injections of 0.5 mg to reach a dose of 1.0 mg Wegovy (semaglutide) if you have trouble accessing the 1.0 mg pen.
However, this is not a recommended solution, because the dosage of the preparation is precisely tailored to the device that administers it. The manufacturer's recommendations are based on safety and efficacy studies that take into account the appropriate dosage and method of administration. In addition, non-compliance may affect the effectiveness of treatment and patient safety.
If you have doubts about this situation, it is always worth consulting a doctor who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:

I will add that on American forums they write that it can be done and that doctors recommend such action
