I missed one tablet of Femoston 5/1, my menstruation has started and has been going on for a week – should I continue the medication?
After a year of absence of menstruation, the doctor prescribed Femoston 5/1, I take the first pack. I missed one pill (forgot), the next day I also continued in the evening. After that, on the third day, menstruation began, it has been going on for a week, will they stop or do I need to drink something?

If you missed a tablet and it has been less than 12 hours, take it as soon as possible and then continue treatment as planned. If you miss a dose and more than 12 hours have passed, continue taking the next tablet at the usual time, but do not take two tablets at the same time.
The appearance of menstruation after the start of Femoston is possible, especially in the initial phase of hormone therapy. Menstruation can last for several days, up to a week, and is a normal response of the body to hormone replacement therapy. There is no need to use any additional medication without a specialist's recommendation.
If the bleeding is very heavy, prolonged or other disturbing symptoms appear, I encourage you to contact your attending physician. Otherwise, continuation of Femoston is safe and indicated for effective therapy.
