Bilaflex contains bilastine, which is a newer generation antihistamine. It is worth noting the need to take bilastine one hour before or two hours after a meal or fruit juice (otherwise the drug is less well absorbed and has a limited effect).
Other anti-allergic drugs include:
- cetirizine, e.g. Zyrtec, Allertec - an older generation drug, may cause drowsiness (take 1 tablet a day in the evening), by some patients it is considered stronger than newer preparations
- loratadine e.g.: Claritina, Loratan
- fexofenadine, e.g. Allegra (a newer generation drug)
- desloratadine, levocetirizine - derivatives of the above-mentioned substances, e.g. Lirra, Aleric, Hitaxa.

It is difficult to assess which preparation will be optimal in your case. Severe allergic reactions with swelling or breathing disorders should be consulted with a doctor. Allergic rhinitis may require the additional use of nasal products, e.g. Nasometin, Metmin.
