Alugastrin is a very low toxicity drug, so a single use of a higher dose than recommended should not cause side effects. In the situation described, you may observe, for example, nausea or mild constipation that does not require medical consultation. Long-term use of high doses of the drug may cause phosphorus deficiency (resulting from malabsorption disorders) and related bone and muscle ailments.
