Can Duphaston cause severe lower abdominal pain?

I was prescribed Duphaston because my endometrium was too large. I have to take 2 tablets for 14 days, today is the 4th day of taking them and for 2 days I have had severe lower abdominal pain and spotting. Is this strong pain like during menstruation normal?
