Can slight spotting, which has intensified after physical exertion while using hormonal contraception and condoms, mean pregnancy?
12.99 zł

Hello
uses hormonal contraception and additionally uses a condom with the partner. After the last intercourse, I started to have slight spotting, which increased after physical exertion. Does this mean pregnancy? I will add that the spotting was initially brown, and now it takes on a light pink color. Thank you in advance for your reply. Best regards

Spotting while using hormonal contraception is a common side effect and usually results from the body adjusting to altered hormone levels. The cause may be too thin uterine mucosa, hormonal changes or missing a pill. The color of the spotting (brown or pink) usually indicates the presence of old or fresh blood and does not necessarily indicate pregnancy. However, if spotting persists for a long time or is accompanied by other symptoms, it is worth consulting a doctor to rule out other causes, such as infections or problems with contraceptive dosage.

I forgot to mention that the spotting has been going on since Sunday and on Friday I should start taking placebo pills.
