The transition from Ozempic (semaglutide) to Munjaro (tirzepatide) should be done under the supervision of a physician who will assess the patient's individual needs, health condition and tolerance to medications.
It is not recommended to replace Ozempicu Munjaro on your own, immediately without medical consultation, as both drugs differ in dosage and mechanism of action. Munjaro is usually more effective at weight reduction and glycemic control, but requires proper introduction and monitoring to avoid side effects. Your doctor may recommend a gradual transition or dose adjustment to ensure the safety and effectiveness of your therapy.
