I took 1mg of Wegovy and I'm nauseous – should I start with a lower dose and what can I do now?

Good evening
I took Wegovy 1mg to lose weight, for the first time yesterday and today I feel nauseous... I had to start with the 0.25 dose??? What can I do to dispose of the effect of the dose?

Nausea is one of the more common side effects of Wegova, especially in the initial phase of treatment or after increasing the dose. Wegovy should be used in a gradual dose increase schedule, starting with 0.25 mg per week to minimise side effects such as nausea.

Taking 1 mg at the beginning could have caused too strong a reaction of the body. In this situation, it is best to contact your attending physician, who may recommend stopping the therapy and starting it as prescribed.

To relieve nausea, I encourage you to drink plenty of water and eat smaller, more balanced meals and avoid fatty foods. If the symptoms are severe or do not improve, medical consultation is necessary.
