Both Arimidex and Tamoxifen are prescription drugs, so the doctor decides whether to use them and choose the right preparation.
Thinning, thinning hair, and baldness are described as common side effects of both Arimidex and Temoxifen. In both cases, this type of side effect occurs in > 1/100 to <1/10 of people using these drugs.
Hair loss, like other side effects of these medications, may or may not occur in every patient.
