Is it normal to have spotting after stopping the birth control ring? How long can it last?
12.99 zł

Hello. On March 18 I took out the ring as usual, I was supposed to put on another one on March 25 but I didn't do it because I wanted to get off contraception and in consultation with specialists I didn't put it in on the day of the next application. So in fact, it was only from March 25 that my body realized that I didn't provide it with hormones again. I've had spotting since March 27, is it normal after going off hormones? How long can it last and when to start worrying

Spotting after discontinuation of hormonal contraception is common and does not cause for concern. It is the body's reaction to hormonal changes. They can occur even until the first natural menstrual period.

After using and discontinuing hormonal contraception, natural menstruation usually returns to 6 weeks. In some cases, menstrual disorders may occur and natural menstruation may occur even after several months.
