Yes, antibiotic hiccups can happen, although it is not a common side effect. It may result from irritation of the digestive system or the effect of the drug on the intestinal microflora. It is worth taking care of proper hydration and an easily digestible diet.
My daughter has hiccups all day after an antibiotic, could it be after an antibiotic?

To @Paulina:
According to the information of the manufacturer of Amotaks Dis, food does not interfere with the absorption of amoxicillin, so there is no need to make an interval between taking the drug and eating food.
And if I give my child an antibiotic at 7 in the morning, he can eat breakfast at 10 ?

Amoxicillin can cause drowsiness, especially in the case of hypersensitivity or overdose reactions, where drowsiness is one of the symptoms. If your child has had no trouble sleeping before and now sleeps longer than usual, it is worth consulting a doctor to rule out other causes or adjust treatment.
She has scarlet fever, but since the beginning of the disease she has not had a fever, she was not sleepy, tired, on the contrary, she did not look sick, but the swab showed that there was a plus rash and for two days just after a dose of antibiotic, as if I had been sleeping longer

If the child has scarlet fever, the disease itself can cause lethargy and drowsiness. In most cases, drowsiness is not a direct result of amoxicillin itself, but rather can be caused by the disease for which the child is being treated. If your child has had no trouble sleeping before and now sleeps longer than usual, it is worth consulting a doctor to rule out other causes or adjust treatment.
In the morning the child gets amotax, dis dose at 7 and then she sleeps for a very long time, she always got up at 8, now she sleeps until 11 and I have to wake her up, is it normal? With earlier doses it wasn't like that, I'm a little worried

With scarlet fever, despite the improvement in health, it is worth avoiding going outside for a few more days, especially on cold or windy days. The child's body is still regenerating, and antibiotic therapy can weaken immunity. If the child feels well, you can ventilate the room and possibly go out into the fresh air for a short time, but it is best to avoid contact with other people. If in doubt, it is worth consulting a doctor.
And if the child can go outside with scarlet fever, I didn't ask the doctor, my daughter has the 5th dose of antibiotics, she doesn't have a fever, she has practically no symptoms of the disease, I don't mean that among children to infect, only if in the fresh air

There is no need for this. Amotax DIS should be stored at temperatures up to 25°C and protected from moisture.
Thank you, and do you need to keep amotaxis dis tablets in the fridge?

There is no need to worry. The time change may have shortened the dosing interval, but a single administration of an antibiotic one hour earlier will not affect its efficacy or safety. Subsequent doses are best administered at the correct interval of 12 hours.
Hello. How is it with the time change and antibiotic. At 7 p.m. I gave my daughter an antibiotic, the phone changed the clock by itself and I gave her at 7 so it didn't work out for 12 hours.

Amotaks Dis can be administered with or without food. This means that the drug can be administered on an empty stomach, with food or after food, depending on the patient's individual preferences.
Can I give this antibiotic to my child on an empty stomach in the morning?

Please consult your paediatrician again about the dosage of the drug.
Perhaps the doctor meant 1 tablet every 12 hours or 2 tablets once every 24 hours.
The usual recommended dose is from 20-90 mg per 1 kg of body weight, i.e. in the case of a child weighing 21 kg up to a maximum of 2.5 tablets per day.
If you administer 2 tablets every 12 hours, the maximum daily dose recommended by the manufacturer will be exceeded.
Therefore, it would be best to consult your doctor again tomorrow before administering another dose.
Allergic reaction - manifested by itching and skin rash, difficult breathing or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, body. In individual cases, they can have a fatal effect
This is what it says in the leaflet and it scared me a little bit with the last word whether it is really that dangerous
And isn't amoxane dis 750 in a dose of 2*1 tablet too much for 21 kg in a 6-year-old daughter and should you take such an antibiotic every 12 hours?

If a small amount of medication is left at the bottom of the glass, there is no need to worry. For the future, it is worth adding a little water to the sediment, mixing and giving it to the child to drink. Nevertheless, the drug you administered will definitely work today.
Thank you very much for your answer, the lady calmed me down, tomorrow I will do it as it should be, i.e. in a small amount of water. But I think this drug worked at least half of it when given in too much water

No, this is a typical phenomenon accompanying such suspension. The part is simply suspended in water, it does not dissolve. The drug should be taken whole, so the manufacturer recommends consuming the solution immediately after its preparation, so that the said sediment does not remain at the bottom of the glass.
But won't the completely undissolved antibiotic "sand", the residue of the powder harm it?

Do you mean Amotaks Dis dissolved tablets?
If so, the manufacturer recommends the following way of preparing the drug:
"Put the appropriate number of tablets into a glass with a small amount of boiled, cool water, mix well until a homogeneous suspension is formed and drink immediately after preparation."
If your daughter has been prescribed 1 tablet, dissolve it in small amounts of water - you can use e.g. 20-30 ml (2-3 large tablespoons of water) - this amount will be sufficient to dissolve the Amotaks Dis tablet. Half a glass is too much and can lead to the child not taking the entire dose.
The amount of water should be reduced during subsequent doses. Even if the first dose has not been taken in full, do not give an additional dose (unless you still have a glass of medicine, then you can pour a little water and give your child the rest of the bottom of the glass to drink, if not - there is no reason to worry, give subsequent doses with less water and the effectiveness of the treatment will be maintained.
