One pack of Wegovy 0.25 mg is usually the initial dose, the purpose of which is to get the body used to the drug and reduce the risk of side effects.
The 0.25 mg dose of Wegovy is the starting dose and the target dose is 0.5 mg. The dose is increased gradually to minimise the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions.
No significant weight loss is to be expected at this stage — weight loss effectiveness usually occurs at higher doses. Weight reduction is possible with regular use of Wegovy in combination with a proper diet and physical activity. Therefore, it is necessary to continue the therapy as prescribed by the doctor, gradually increasing the dose. One pack of the initial dose may not be sufficient to achieve significant weight loss.
