If there is no cough but a temperature of 37.5°C despite treatment with Cefox, should I consider changing the antibiotic?

5th dose of Cefox, probably bronchitis, the cough was not too much, but it disappeared almost completely, but the temperature is still 37.5 which I can't beat with either paracetamol or ibuprofen, should I see a doctor for an antibiotic change?

If, despite several doses of the antibiotic, symptoms such as an elevated temperature may indicate several possibilities. Persistent low-grade fever after antibiotics may be the result of a viral infection, for example. In this case, an antibiotic will not help.

Additionally, if your temperature does not subside after taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen, it may indicate the need for further diagnosis. It is worth consulting a doctor – this does not necessarily mean that you need to change the antibiotic right away, but requires further evaluation, e.g. CRP testing or lung auscultation. Persistent fever can also be the result of another inflammatory process or reaction of the body, so medical control is important.
