I'm pregnant, I've finished my flu B medication, but my baby got sick after the treatment – should I take it again?
12.99 zł

My husband was confirmed to be type b. I immediately started taking flu medicine. I finished with a full 2x1 treatment, but after the treatment the child fell ill with the same type. Should I take flu medicine again? I will add that I am pregnant.

In such a situation, especially since you are pregnant, the most important thing is to consult your attending physician. During pregnancy, any decision to take an antiviral drug again should be consulted with a doctor.

If you have completed a full course of antiviral treatment and do not currently have flu symptoms, there is usually no need to take the medication again as a preventive measure. However, due to pregnancy and reexposure to the virus, your doctor may recommend additional treatment. Please monitor your condition and contact your doctor immediately if symptoms appear. Also remember to strengthen your immunity and avoid contact with infected people.
