Hello, my son 7 years old has been taking levetirazepam for a week as an adjunct to Convival Chorono - and for 5 days he has been incredibly lethargic, he lacks any energy, he sleeps 12 hours at night plus naps during the day 2-3 hours... I'm worried because at school we have problems with learning and concentration anyway, and instead of getting better it's worse, he used to be a cheerful and lively child... Will this lethargy pass?

Drowsiness is one of the most commonly reported side effects when taking levetiracetam. It usually occurs at the beginning of treatment or during dose escalation and should disappear with the duration of treatment.
If the side effects threaten your health and significantly reduce the quality of life, it is worth reporting them to your doctor to discuss your current treatment.
Here you can book levetiracetam at the pharmacy of your choice:

Lavericetam (levetiracetam) is an effective antiepileptic medicine that is also used to treat some neurological disorders. Side effects such as mood changes, irritability or drowsiness may occur at the beginning of treatment.
The dose is increased gradually, usually every 2 weeks, to reduce the risk of side effects. In the event of severe side effects, it may be necessary to modify the treatment under the supervision of a doctor. If your doctor has recommended increasing the dose to 500 mg, it is worth following the recommendations, as the body often needs time to adapt.
If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
