Can I have bleeding, lower abdominal and breast pain after Escapelle?
12.99 zł

Hello, I had my last period on February 20. On February 28 I took the Escapelle pill and on March 6 I got spotting, which is sometimes more and sometimes less. Today is the 7th day of this bleeding and it continues. My lower abdomen and breasts hurt. Also 2 days ago my ovary was stinging. I did 3 pregnancy tests, all negative, but they were done 8-10 days after intercourse, I don't know if it's too early. What could it be? Please advise

Yes, the symptoms described – brown spotting and prolonged breast pain – can be a side effect of taking the morning after pill, as it disrupts the natural hormonal cycle. Such symptoms may persist for several weeks. If the pregnancy test performed 3 weeks after intercourse is negative, you are not pregnant. However, if the symptoms intensify, prolong or severe pain occurs, it is worth consulting a doctor.

Hello, today I have the 30th day of my cycle. My cycles are quite irregular from 28 to sometimes even 46 days. I've had brown spotting for two days, and before, as I mentioned, for almost 2 weeks after this pill I had spotting, which disappeared and reappeared, only now more brown. My breasts hurt all the time since I took the pill, should I be worried? I did my 4th test yesterday (not from morning urine) 3 weeks after sex and it was negative. Are these two spotting and breast pain from 3 weeks are still the effects of the pill?

I think the pill worked :) These pains are as natural and normal as possible after taking such a large dose of hormones, spotting is also fine and is caused by the pill. I recommend doing a test of the morning first urine to calm the nerves, it should be reliable. Good luck

Since 8-10 days after intercourse is a very short period of time, it is recommended to perform a morning urine test, in which the concentration of a possible pregnancy hormone is the highest.

In such a situation, you can repeat the morning urine test tomorrow, if the result is negative, it means that you are not pregnant.

Yes, breast pain can last up to 2 weeks. However, if the ailments intensify, you should consult a gynecologist.

Thank you for your reply, and is it possible that these breasts still hurt after 10 days of taking the pill?
The tests were not done from morning urine, so the result may be unreliable?

Bleeding after using Escapelle can occur and can last for several days. Spotting may also appear. This is a typical reaction to hormonal changes. Lower abdominal pain and breast tenderness are also common side effects of Escapelle and disappear after a few days after the use of the drug.

Tests performed 8-10 days after intercourse (if they were performed from morning urine) will already give a reliable result and negative ones allow you to rule out pregnancies.

Bleeding can also indicate a lack of pregnancy.

Everything indicates that the drug worked properly and prevented fertilization.
