No, Dicopeg (macrogol) does not cause darkening of the stool. It is a laxative that works by increasing the water content in the intestine, making it easier to defecate.
A change in the color of the stool, especially to a darker one, may have another cause – e.g. dietary, iron supplementation or bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract.
