The probability of pregnancy with properly protected intercourse is very low.
Lower abdominal pain right after intercourse is unlikely to indicate pregnancy, as it is too early for implantation symptoms – these usually appear about 6-12 days after conception. The pain can have other causes, such as ovulation or premenstrual tension.
If your period is late, it is worth taking a pregnancy test to be sure. Confirmation of the lack of pregnancy can be a pregnancy test performed about 10 days after intercourse:
