At the outset, it should be noted that Zinnat is a prescription antibiotic, so the need for its use and dosage should be determined by a doctor.

As a pharmacist, I can only give you general information:

The standard dose of Zinnate (cefuroxime) for children is 10–15 mg/kg body weight every 12 hours. For a 12 kg baby, the typical dose is 120-180 mg twice a day. At a concentration of 250 mg/5 ml, this means 2.4–3.6 ml of syrup every 12 hours.

However, it should be remembered that the doctor may recommend a different dosage to the best of his knowledge if he considers it beneficial and safe for the child. I would suggest discussing any doubts about the dosage directly with the doctor, who has full access to my daughter's medical records.
