Flu-like symptoms, such as weakness, muscle and joint pain, may appear at the beginning of Ezehron Duo (rosuvastatin + ezetimibe). Such side effects are generally mild and temporary.
However, in rare cases, they may signal rhabdomyolysis – a serious side effect of statins, manifested by severe muscle pain, muscle weakness, dark urine and general malaise. If the symptoms are severe, persist for a long time or are accompanied by other disturbing symptoms, you should immediately consult a doctor and perform muscle enzyme tests (CK – creatine kinase).
