Why does Ranlosin not work after 2 weeks of treatment for an enlarged prostate?
Hello.I've been taking Ranlosin for 2 weeks now and no results. I still don't sleep through the nights, I pee every 2-3 hours. I will add that I have an enlarged prostate 48, the doctor promised that the drug would help me sleep normally at night.

Ranlosin (tamsulosin) is an alpha-blocker, it is a medication used to treat the symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia, such as pollakiuria. This medication may help improve the quality of your sleep by reducing the frequency of getting up at night to go to the toilet.
However, in some patients, the full therapeutic effect may not appear until after 4–6 weeks of use. If symptoms are still severe after 2 weeks, it is worth consulting a doctor – it may be necessary to modify the treatment, e.g. adding a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor or another therapeutic strategy.
In the meantime, it is worth avoiding caffeine and alcohol, which can increase the urge to urinate.
