How long does it take for fluoxetine to work?
14.00 zł

Hello, I have been taking Seronil sub. Active fluoxetine for two weeks now. The first week 20mg, after a week I increased to 40mg. It's been a week since I've been on a 40mg dose and it's weak. I want to cry all the time, sleep, I'm not in the mood, I'm very sleepy. Nothing makes me happy, I'm angry, irritated. Increased anxiety. Is there a chance that it will get better? If so, when? Endure or change the drug? Help!

Fluoxetine starts to work after about 2 weeks on average. Once the dose is increased, positive effects are to be expected after this time. However, it should be remembered that the response to treatment is an individual feature of a given patient and sometimes it takes longer for therapeutic effects to appear.
Fluoxetine side effects are usually most noticeable in the first weeks of treatment. If you do not notice any improvement after 3-4 weeks from increasing the dose and the side effects intensify, it is an indication to consult a doctor for further treatment.

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
