Good morning
I have asthma and gastroesophageal reflux and I take Trimbow (inhaled), Alvesco (inhaled), Metypred, Iwabradine, Dexilant and Singulair. I also have elevated cholesterol, my doctor recommended me to take a Berberine supplement. Can this supplement interact with any of the medications I am taking?

According to currently available information, there are no significant interactions between berberine and the above-mentioned preparations.
Caution should be exercised when using berberine and drugs that affect the heart rate, e.g. ivabradine. In such a situation, berberine supplementation should result from medical recommendations, which is the case in the described case. When using such a combination, blood pressure and heart function should be monitored.
