Can I stop taking Ospamox 1000 mg if I have taken it 2 times a day instead of 3?

Good morning. Your doctor recommended taking Ospamox 1000 mg 3 times a day. I, on the other hand, took it 2 times a day, which makes the treatment with this antibiotic longer. Can I finish my therapy with it this way?

No, it is not recommended. An insufficient dose of antibiotics can lead to ineffective treatment and increase the risk of recurrence of infection and antibiotic resistance.

In this situation, please consult your doctor to determine the further plan of therapy – it may be necessary to extend it or adjust the dosage. Therefore, only a doctor can make decisions on this subject, because he knows the health condition of his patient.
Knowledge about age and body weight is insufficient information. Too low a dose may be ineffective and instead of curing, it will only cause bacterial resistance to this antibiotic. Too high a dose can be harmful and cause increased side effects.
