Rinvoq (upadacitinib) is a medication used to treat psoriatic arthritis (PSA) that can effectively relieve the symptoms associated with arthritis, but does not always eliminate the discomfort associated with pain in tendon and muscle attachments. In these cases, it may be worth considering additional therapies, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which can help relieve pain and inflammation.
In addition, rehabilitation and physical therapy, including exercises and treatments such as cryotherapy or ultrasound, can be beneficial in reducing pain and improving joint function. It is worth consulting a rheumatologist to tailor the treatment to the individual needs and symptoms of the patient.
