It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Cyclaid (ciclosporine). Drinking alcohol during treatment can cause strain on the liver, increase blood pressure, and also interfere with the metabolism of the drug. In addition, cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant (it suppresses the immune system), and alcohol can further weaken the body and increase susceptibility to infections.
