Can I change the time of Tamiflu from evening to morning?
55.00 zł

Good morning. My daughter at the age of 6 was given Tamiflu 45 mg because we have a case of influenza A at home. She is supposed to take it 1 day for 10 days, we gave her the first tablet in the evening so that she gets it as soon as possible, can we continue giving it in the evening or give it to her in the morning and continue after breakfast.

It is best to take the medicine in the morning with breakfast.

You can change the time of taking the drug from evening to morning and continue taking the drug in the morning, e.g. as you wrote – after breakfast.
When you administered the first dose of the drug in the evening, you did the right thing. The drug should be administered as soon as possible – both if it is given for flu treatment and prevention.

Food does not affect the effect of oseltamivir, so it is better to take this medicine after or with a meal than on an empty stomach. Taking it on an empty stomach increases the risk of gastrointestinal disorders, e.g. vomiting, abdominal pain.
