The composition of both preparations is very similar - in the 1st and 2nd case the active substance is glycerol (I did not find information about the difference in the proportions of supporting ingredients). Both preparations have a soothing and moisturizing effect on the mucous membrane of the throat, so they can work well in the treatment of dry cough.
