What should I do if I experience constipation with Wegovy?
I have been taking wegovy 0.25 for 2 weeks the problem is that I no longer go to the bathroom I no longer have intestinal motility, nothing works, not even enemas .. Constipation is one of the side effects of Wegovy, affecting up to 25% of patients using this drug.
Usually, these symptoms disappear with the duration of therapy.
Symptomatic treatment can be used using over-the-counter drugs, e.g. based on macrogol, lactulose or simethicone.
Drugs that paralyze bowel function, e.g. based on the bisacodyl you mentioned, are not recommended. They can cause effects as you described above.
It is worth starting with a milder therapy.
