Cartexan is a safe drug, it contains chondroitin sulfate - a natural component of cartilage (part of proteins on which the mechanical and elastic properties of cartilage depend). The drug is intended for use in the form of a long-term treatment. The onset of action occurs within 6 to 8 weeks and is maintained for 2 to 3 months after the end of treatment. Side effects are rarely observed and mainly relate to hypersensitivity of the gastrointestinal tract (therefore, it is best to take the capsule with a meal with plenty of water).
