Could increasing the dose of Parogen cause a deterioration in well-being?
22.00 zł

Hello, 4 weeks ago I started taking Parogen. I struggle with anxiety disorders with panic attacks. After 1 week of using the 10mg dose I noticed a slight improvement, then I increased the dose to 20mg and then to 40mg. Unfortunately, exactly a week after increasing the dose, I felt a significant deterioration, 11 days have passed since then and there is still no significant improvement. In such a situation, do I have the right to hope that the drug will still work?

Yes, it can take anywhere from 7 to 21 days for a deterioration in well-being after increasing the dose.

I just don't know what to do anymore. My attending doctor recommended me to increase the dose by another 10mg, but I am not convinced of this idea since this deterioration after increasing the drug continues. The second doctor I visited yesterday recommended me to reduce the dose. I read some time ago that the deterioration of well-being after increasing the dose can last from 7 to 21 days, is this true? However, I still hope that this drug will work.

A response to treatment should appear within 2-4 weeks of starting treatment. Increasing the dose does not always guarantee greater effectiveness of the drug, moreover, some patients observe a deterioration in well-being in the first stage of antidepressant treatment (antidepressant/anxiolytic treatments usually last at least a few months). I suggest consulting your doctor about choosing the right dose of the drug. Prolonged lack of response to the preparation may be an indication to change the treatment strategy.
