Although both drugs are available over the counter, this combination of drugs can affect kidney function, so their concomitant use may increase the risk of side effects, especially in patients with existing kidney problems. Caution should be exercised and therapy should be closely monitored during concomitant use of Groprinosin and Heviran.
Groprinosin, containing inosine pranobex, has antiviral properties and supports immunity, and Heviran, containing acyclovir, is effective in the treatment of herpes viral infections.
