Thiogamma is indicated for sensory disturbances associated with diabetic polyneuropathy. The drug reduces the amount of free radicals, which contributes to the reduction of pain and improvement of nerve function in patients with diabetic neuropathy.
However, it is not a drug typically intended for pain relief, and its indication only includes the treatment of sensory disorders in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy. In the case of sciatica, there may be a need to use typical painkillers.
