Can a vitamin C serum containing retinol palmitate harm pregnancy?

Good morning. I'm 9 weeks pregnant, I used a face serum with vitamin C, which contains retinol palmitate, could I harm the baby with it?

The retinol and palmitic acid ester has no proven teratogenic effects. However, it should be avoided during pregnancy.

However, you should absolutely not use medicines, supplements or cosmetics with retinol, as such agents can have a teratogenic effect, i.e. toxic to the developing fetus.

In the case of vitamin C serum containing retinol palmitate, the risk of harm to the fetus is low, but for safety reasons, the use of the product should be discontinued during pregnancy.
