In order to prepare for the examination of the intestine, it is necessary to clean it properly. If the child is not properly cleaned, it will not be possible to properly assess its condition, and the test will probably have to be repeated. If the intestine is properly cleaned, the patient's safety during the examination is also increased.
As part of the preparation for the examination, all the doctor's recommendations should be followed. In addition to implementing a proper diet, the use of laxatives is an essential step. In order for these types of drugs to work properly and the intestine to be properly cleaned, they should be taken in two doses, with at least a 5-hour interval.
The usual contents of one CitraFleet sachet are taken in the evening before the test and the contents of the other sachet in the morning of the test. It is also possible to take both sachets in the morning on the day of the examination (if it is to take place in the late afternoon or evening). However, I would recommend that you follow the first option, especially that you have to get to the place of the test.
Please remember that only about 10 minutes after taking the drug you can start taking fluids - you should drink about 1.5-2 liters of various clear liquids in the amount of about 250-400 ml per hour.
