I got a "normal" Rp prescription from my doctor for Elvanse 30mg and 50mg. The pharmacy, however, refused to issue it, claiming that a prescription was needed. How is it? And the pharmacy claims that 50mg has lost its license. Is it simply a lack of information for the pharmacy? Asking at another pharmacy, it was not in stock, but the pharmacist said that everything was ok with the prescription and placed an order in the wholesaler. How is it in general?

Elvanse has changed its availability category from Rpz to Rpw. To get the medicine at the pharmacy, you need to show the prescription Rpw (or prescription code Rpw) – a prescription for narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.
Here you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy:

For @George and @equality:
Currently, Elvanse is still available on Rpz prescription.
You can check the availability of the preparation using the link:

We wrote more about ADHD in the article:
In disputes concerning the availability category of elvanse, and thus the decision whether to dispense the drug to a patient on a prescription presented by pharmacists in the Republic of Poland, one should consult the Register of Medicinal Products, which is publicly available and easy to find. Changing the category of a drug requires a number of legal procedures, and the register under the supervision of the Minister of Health clearly defines the actual state of affairs at a given time.
Hello, is Elvanse still issued on Rpz prescriptions or has anything changed? Best regards
I have the impression that pharmacists do not know how to fill prescriptions for Elvanse. In two pharmacies, I was refused to use it because I had a prescription with the Rp status, but with the active substance, dosage and total amount of active substance. Although apparently there is no prescription template in the system, I was refused to use these pharmacies. In the second pharmacy I was told that I had to have an Rpw prescription. When I came with the Rpw prescription, the pharmacist said that I needed a prescription with the Rpw status with detailed information. So what is the reality when it comes to the prescription status of Elvanse? Does an ordinary prescription with the active substance and the total amount of this substance and dosage no longer meet the requirements of the Rpz prescription? Isn't the PCP status sometimes confused by pharmacists as inpatient treatment? Please answer.

To @Kacper:
Rpz drugs are medicinal products "obtained with a doctor's prescription for restricted use". They can be dispensed in pharmacies and used outside the hospital, but they require special caution and constant supervision by the attending physician. Prescriptions for RPZ drugs look identical to those for RP drugs, and are subject to the same regulations and formal requirements.
On the other hand, drugs with the availability category Lz (inpatient treatment) are intended only for use in hospital conditions. Pharmacies can purchase them through pharmaceutical wholesalers, but they cannot dispense them on a medical prescription – their distribution requires a demand issued to a person or facility performing medical activity.
Mrs. Angelika, what is it really like with the prescription of Rpz.?
Some tell me that they are only dispensed for hospital treatment, and others that they are normally dispensed to patients at home.

At the moment, Elvanse can be obtained at the pharmacy with a Rpz prescription.
Ms. Angelika, a month ago you wrote
"The day after the report, we received information that a group of experts was working on solving the problem. On Friday, we were supposed to receive information about the preliminary arrangements, but the case had not yet been resolved. Today he will be in contact with the employees of the Office again."
Is there anything more known?

To @Gucio:
We received this information from the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products.
Until the substance is included in the list, you must follow the data in the register.
On the Gemini hotline, they inform that the drug is issued on the RPW prescription
The manager of the pharmacy in Szczecin, after consulting the inspector, says that he will only dispense the drug on a prescription of the Republic of Poland.
Here you write that the drug is only on prescription RPZ.

Response from the Office of Registration for Medicinal Products regarding Elvanse: "Until lisdexamfetamine is officially entered into the current list of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the availability category remains as it is now, i.e. Rpz. (...)"
"(...) Work is underway to add this substance to the list, then the availability category will be changed to Rpw.

A few days ago, we reported the case to the manufacturer and the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products.
The day after the report, we received information that a group of experts was working on solving the problem. On Friday, we were supposed to receive information about the preliminary arrangements, but the case had not yet been resolved.
Today he will again contact the employees of the Office.
At the moment, the drug is registered as Rpz and to get Elvanse in a pharmacy, you need such a prescription. Nevertheless, the manufacturer emphasizes (and is marked in the pharmacy system) that the drug contains a psychotropic substance from the II-P group, which is why we have added an additional marking on the product page – it will be visible until the matter is clarified in the office.
I have the same situation, my doctor wrote Elvanse into Rpw categories, while in the pharmacy I was told that there must be a regular Rp, but after asking and specifying the situation with the manager, it turns out that Elvanse is available only in Rpz categories, where you need to have a special permission/authorization from the doctor to mark this category in the P1 e-prescription system. I don't understand why the administration didn gdziepolek.pl post information about the availability of Elvanse for the Rpw category, when the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate and the Provincial Inspectorate issued a message to pharmacies to dispense only if the prescription has the Rp-z category.
I ask the editors to clarify the situation by contacting the pharmaceutical/health care authorities why the Ministry of Health still does not care about the problems of ADHD patients.
