Does the drug Ezoleta stop the growth of plaques or only lower cholesterol?
Thank you.

Ezoleta (a drug containing ezetimibe) primarily lowers LDL cholesterol levels. As a result, it can indirectly inhibit the development of atherosclerotic plaques or contribute to their stabilization, especially when used together with statins. However, its main mechanism of action is lipid control, rather than directly acting on already existing plaques.
