Excess iron in the blood (hemochromatosis) is not a contraindication to colonoscopy. Similarly, it should not be a contraindication to anaesthesia. Nevertheless, you should inform the doctor performing the test about your health condition. It is the doctor, based on the information you have provided, who will decide whether it is safe for you to perform the procedure under general anaesthesia, having full data on your health and test results.
