Can you use a cream Emla before a Methotrexate injection?

Good morning. I have a question about taking a metatrexate injection for JIA, a 6-year-old child (girl) is prescribed injections once a week in the thigh subcutaneously and can Elma anesthetic ointment be used with this injection?

There are no contraindications to the use of Emla cream before an injection with methotrexate. Emla cream should be applied at least 1 hour before administering the drug. Since both medicines are issued on the basis of a valid medical prescription, your doctor should inform you about the appropriate procedure.
