Should I take emergency contraception if I had unprotected sex after Zoely 2 pills?

Hello. I started taking zoeli on the third day of the cycle, but on the 4th day of the cycle (after the 2nd zoeli tablet) there was unprotected intercourse. Should I take emergency contraception (EC)? If so, how to continue taking zoeli after EC?

Starting hormonal contraception on the 1st day of the cycle guarantees the effectiveness of the preparation from the beginning of the package. In any other situation, additional methods of protection (condom) should be used for the first 7 days. In the situation described, emergency contraception should be used. Depending on the type of active ingredient, the "morning after pill" may interfere with the effectiveness of the tablets taken daily (Ellaone) or not (Escapelle). If you use Ellaone, you should use additional protection until the end of the current cycle.
