Can peanuts cause a recurrence of Helicobacter pylori gastritis/infection?
13.00 zł

Hello, on November 6, I was treated for a pylera helicobacter and it was fine after that. I ate a lot of peanuts, could this be the reason that I got gastritis again because I have vomiting again, nausea, terrible diarrhea, stomach pain.

The large amount of fat and salt in peanuts can irritate the gastric mucosa, which promotes exacerbation of gastritis symptoms (e.g. pain, heartburn) and may give the impression of Helicobacter recurrence. People with predispositions (e.g. stomach sensitivity, reflux, existing Helicobacter pylori infection) are particularly vulnerable. If symptoms persist, you should see your attending physician.

In conclusion, peanuts do not directly cause Helicobacter pylori infection or gastritis, but they can worsen symptoms in people with existing stomach problems. It is important to eat them moderately and avoid fried or salted foods if you have a sensitive stomach.
