Good morning. The doctor prescribed me mesopral and prokit for the stomach. I also take the qlaira contraceptive pill. Can these drugs be combined?

Mesopral does not affect the effectiveness of oral hormonal contraception. The itopride contained in Prokit affects the motility of the gastrointestinal tract, including accelerating gastric emptying, which may potentially impair the absorption of oral medicines (including Qlaira).
If you use Prokit once a day (e.g. in the morning), you can take the contraceptive pill at an appropriate interval (evening). If the drug is taken several times a day, an additional form of contraception should be used.
