Your doctor recommended 2 tablets Hitaxa 5 mg per day. Can I use the medicine in this way if the leaflet recommends one tablet a day? Do I overdose on this medicine?

Hello. I have laryngitis with a lot of swelling and the doctor prescribed me hitaxa 5mg 2x1. The leaflet says that you can take it 1 time a day. Won't I overdose on the hook I will take twice?

According to this leaflet, the recommended dose for adults and adolescents (12 years of age and older) is one orodispersible tablet of 5 mg Hitaxa once a day, taken with or without food, to be taken immediately after opening the blister. However, your doctor may recommend a dosage different from that contained in the package leaflet if he or she deems it appropriate in your case. Take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor, you can take 2 tablets a day, you will not overdose on the medicine.

If you have any further doubts about the dosage, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. Here you can take advantage of teleconsultations:
