To @Magda:
Did you consult the current situation with your doctor, or was he the one who recommended an antibiotic in this situation? As I mentioned, Clindamycin MIP is an antibiotic, it has neither anti-swelling nor analgesic properties. The occurrence of pain or swelling within the tooth should be consulted with a dentist. The causes of this condition can be varied, it can be, for example, infection or gingivitis. Only a specialist will be able to assess the cause of the observed ailments and recommend the appropriate treatment in this situation.
I wrote it wrong. I didn't have any surgery. I had a toothache. The pain stopped and I swelled but it's strange that now the mountain is swelling

I understand that you meant Clindamycin MIP - if so, please read on, and if not, please provide the correct drug name.
Clindamycin MIP is a drug containing clindamycin, it is an antibiotic. Its task is to treat bacterial infections caused by strains sensitive to clindamycin. It may also be recommended by a doctor, e.g. to prevent infection after certain oral procedures. It does not have an anti-swelling effect.
On the basis of such a short description, it is difficult to assess the situation, I do not know what jaw surgery was performed. I can only give you general information. Swelling in the case of invasive procedures, e.g. surgical tooth extraction, is a normal reaction of the body, usually occurring up to a few hours after the procedure. Each body reacts differently to this type of treatment. Swelling after tooth extraction is usually the greatest within 24-48 hours of the procedure, and over time it should gradually begin to subside. The key is to stick to the recommendations received from the doctor regarding the dosage of the recommended medications or temporary modification of the diet.
If you have doubts about the procedure performed or suspect the appearance of an infection (there is increasing pain and purulent discharge with an unpleasant smell), you should contact your doctor immediately. The appearance of additional swelling in a place other than the one where the procedure was performed should also be consulted with a doctor.
