In this matter, please consult your doctor, he or she is the one who ultimately decides whether to write a prescription, including what medicine he or she prescribes and in what amount. As a general rule, Lorafen should be used on an ad hoc and short-term basis, unless otherwise directed by a doctor. This drug can lose its effectiveness over time and lead to the development of addiction. I encourage you to consult your doctor, who will assess whether further use of the drug is really necessary and, if necessary, help you discontinue it.
Lorafen can only be prescribed on a one-month prescription valid for 30 days. In the case of a dosage of "1.5 tablets once a day", the doctor may prescribe up to 180 tablets, sufficient for a 120-day treatment. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 11 September 2006 on narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, category 1 precursors and preparations containing these drugs or substances, a prescription for a psychotropic drug must additionally include a provision concerning the total amount of the active substance or the amount expressed in terms of the number of dosage units and the dose amount.
