Does it make sense to increase the dose of Gabapentin after 4 months with no effects?

I have been taking gabapentin for 4 months, 200mg in the morning, 400mg at noon, 400mg in the evening. So far, no effect. Today my doctor increased the dose again. Does that make sense or is there more of a possibility that it won't work for me at all?

Increasing the dose of Gabapentin may be justified because the response to the drug can be individual, and the effectiveness depends on achieving an appropriate therapeutic level. However, it is worth considering whether the problem lies in the dose itself or in the appropriateness of the drug for a given condition.

If increasing the dose does not bring about an improvement within a certain period of time, your doctor may consider changing your therapy. It is also worth consulting the details of the treatment, including other possible reasons for the lack of results.
